Elevation to the grace

Related to good and evil human acts, there has to be taken into account their Christian or pagan dimension.

If man is already babtized a new element is added to their personality, because grace gives them a spiritual dimension, taking part in divine nature, throughout the new communication with Jesus life.

Living in the grace of God, not having any mortal sin, invites to a better behaviour in all circumstances of life to reach the holiness.

Mortal sin entails an important moral responsibiliy, because it produces the loss of the grace and the wish of perfection in their spiritual life.

Positive and good acts, done with right intention, to the Glory of God and for love, can increase the grace and spiritual merits. On the contrary, if actions are wrongly done or are a blunder, cannot be offered to God, or improve spiritual life.

The means to behave in a moral way are of a spiritual kind, such as calling the help of Saint Spirit and receiving sacraments.

To sum up, the moral subject is the particular man, with his body and soul, who is social by nature, who has a personal biography and has been risen to a spiritual order. This man owns a peculiar mental estructure, that let him do good or bad acts and be responsible of his own conduct.

So that man can act in a moral way, it is necessary to be conscious and free, i.e. the roots of morality are knowledge and freedom.
