3. The Bible |
1. The desire to know God
Through history, men have looked for God because we found peace, truth and joy only in Him. Man is a religious being. St. Augustine said: “You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it rests in you.”
We know the existence of God through the nature. When we see the stars, plants and the rest of the stars that occupy the sky we see that they are like pieces of a giant clock. They look like they are quiet but they have a very high speed around their orbits without deviating anything.
Someone has done the parts of that colossal clock; someone has started it and someone preserved it through the time. That someone has to be a gifted being with a greater power than men. That someone is God.
