40. Moral and theological virtues |
Introduction
Philosophers before cristianity spoke of the perfect virtue to qualify the noble way of human being. The Church also speaks of supernatural virtues that are communicated by God and when they are lived fully, they form holiness. In the proclamation of the saints, he only investigates and punishes that in that life there are evidence that he has practiced in a heroic degree the theological virtues of faith, hope and charity, as well as the cardinal virtues of prudence, justice , temperance and fortitude.
Virtue is what gives the touch of perfection in the human being and in the acting of human nature; especially if the natural being is elevated and ennobled by the supernatural virtues, since "Grace does not destroy nature but perfects it."
