20. The Communion of Saints |
Introduction
After the professing of faith in "the Holy Catholic Church," the Apostles' Creed continues to be the "Communion of Saints" - an piece that somehow explains the other: "What is the Church, if not the Communion of Saints?, asks an old author.
The Church is the Body of Christ, place where the faithful on earth, those who are in the purgatory and the Saints that are in heaven are integrated. There exists a communion of life among the three groups, like as if in a family where its members help each other out. This communion of life and supernatural goods that unites the members of the Church with the Head and amongst each other is what is called the Communion of Saints.
