1. The emotions
The emotions are movements of our sensitive taste, and are revealed as an inclination to obtain a good and reject and evade an evil. /font>
The following emotions could be discerned:
a) Love is the inclination to join the good.
b) Hate is the inclination to flee from evil or to destroy it.
c) Wish is about a future good.
d) Loathing is about a rejection of a future evil.
e) Joy is about satisfaction for a current good.
f) Sorrow is the dissatisfaction for a current evil.
g) Hope is an inclination towards an affordable good.
h) Dispair is what is produced when a future good is not affordable.
i) Boldness is what defeats a great evil when it threaten us.
j) Fear is born of an evil which seems unbeatable.
k) Anger is the dissatisfaction against a current and fearsome evil.
