Facing the ourburts of news that all of us bear in the current society, and some mix-up of ideas we can hear in TV shows and other mass media, it seems to feel appropriate to consider carefully about the good and the evil behaviour of people.

    There have been many authors who have considered this problem showed by Aristotle in his work Nicomachean Ethics, until contemporary philosophy that is interested in conditions human actions must have in order to be judged as moral ones.

    Firstly, there is a difference between “the acts of human being”, what man does, such as breathing, digesting, and many others phisycal ones; and “the human acts” that man does freely and with kowledge, such as driving a car or robbing a mobile phone. Only these later ones can be said as good or bad, because they have been done in a consciencious and free way. At the same time, man is responsible of their acts.

    On the theoretical side, this is very clear, but in practise the evaluation is more complex, due to the fact that intelligence, afectivity, education received, current training and pschycological state of harmony and balance of a man in particular, have to be taken into account when its come to doing a human act.

    On the other hand, moral wisdom has to judge the objetivity of works, but only God can judge the inner man. Christian people cannot and musn’t judge their brother’s conscience because it is forbidden to them.

    Besides, mass social media spread theories without any intellectual rigour, and show us fashion behaviours, whose morality is doubtful. These behaviours are aimed at people who can have a high level of weakness and are full of personal caprices, that can be seen as normal in our society.

    Because of that, it is needed to improve personal criteria to point out what kind of values and ideals will be neccessary for us to accept and which of them we will need to throw away.
